Characteristics

The Balkhi displays black, tan or grey. They yield approximately Шаблон:Convert of coarse wool with an average 43.5 micrometre diameter. This breed has a low fiber density.[1]

The ears are somewhat long, the body is muscular and compact. The tail is fat and tucked.[1] Both sexes are horned.[2]

On average at maturity, rams weigh Шаблон:Convert and ewes Шаблон:Convert. Rams grow to approximately Шаблон:Convert and ewes Шаблон:Convert at the withers. Ewes lactate for about 105 days and produce Шаблон:Convert of milk on average during this period. At birth, rams weigh Шаблон:Convert and ewes weigh Шаблон:Convert.[2]
