In 1999 a RTV transmitter was damaged.[4]

During the Kosovan parliamentary election, 2010, a polling station[5] was surrounded by an angry mob and access to the village was blocked.[6]

2023 attack

Шаблон:Main On 24 September 2023, an armed group of about 30 Serb men attacked Kosovo Police after blockading the village, shooting and killing one officer and injuring another, before barricading themselves in the Banjska monastery.[7] Three Serb militants were killed by Kosovo Police.[8]The attack was classified as a terrorist attack by Kosovo and the European Union.[9][10]
