Etymology

The specific name, braueri, is in honor of German zoologist August Bernhard Brauer.[2]

Geographic range

J. braueri is found only in the Seychelles, where it occurs on the islands Mahé and Silhouette.[1]

Habitat

The natural habitats of Brauer's burrowing skink are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, at altitudes of Шаблон:Convert.[1]

Reproduction

J. braueri is oviparous.[1]

Conservation status

J. braueri is threatened by habitat loss.[1]
