Bruce Gordon Epperly (born 1952 in California) is a theologian, minister, and author. He is one of the leading process theologians in the United States, having studied with John B. Cobb at Claremont Graduate University. Epperly currently serves as Professor of Practical Theology and Director of Continuing Education at Lancaster Theological Seminary. He is an ordained minister with standing in the United Church of Christ and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).[1]

Prior to his current appointment, Epperly served as Director of the Protestant Ministry and Adjunct Professor in Theology, Spirituality, and Medicine at Georgetown University.[2]

His professional interests are broad and include process theology, constructive postmodernism, spirituality, healing, and ministerial transformation. He is noted for innovative work in joining theological reflection with spiritual formation, ministerial leadership, and healing ministry.[1][2][3]

He is the author, or co-author, of sixteen books, including Tending to the Holy: The Practice of the Presence of God in Ministry, the Academy of Parish Clergy's 2009 Book of the Year, and Holy Adventure: 41 Days of Audacious Living, his response to Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life.[4]
