Early years

Taylor-Britt grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and attended Park Crossing High School, where he played quarterback. As a senior, he completed 77 of 130 passing attempts for 1,466 yards and 14 touchdowns and rushed for 1,030 yards and 16 touchdowns on 117 carries.[1] Taylor-Britt initially hoped to play college football at Auburn and was recruited by the school, but was not ultimately offered a scholarship.[2] He ultimately committed to play at Nebraska.[3]

College career

Taylor-Britt played in 11 games as a freshman on both defense and special teams and finished the season with 12 total tackles, three passes broken up, and a recovered fumble while on punt coverage.[4] He started seven games at safety and three games at cornerback in his sophomore season.[5] Taylor-Britt was named to the second-team All-Big Ten Conference after starting all seven of Nebraska's games in the team's COVID-19-shortened 2020 season and recorded 28 tackles with four passes broken up and two interceptions.[6] He repeated as a second-team All-Big Ten selection after finishing his senior season with 51 tackles, three tackles for loss, 11 passes broken up, one interception, and one blocked kick.[7]

2022

Taylor-Britt was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round (60th overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft.[8][9] He would suffer an abdomen injury during training camp, and was placed on injured reserve on August 30, 2022.[10] He was activated on October 8.[11] Taylor-Britt would play his first game of the season in Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns.[12] Taylor-Britt would finish the regular season with 36 tackles and 6 passes defended.

In the Bengals' Divisional Round game against the Buffalo Bills, Taylor-Britt would make his first career interception, a game-winning pick late in the fourth quarter to advance the Bengals on to the AFC Championship Game, where they would lose to the Kansas City Chiefs.[13]

2023

Taylor-Britt would be named a starting cornerback for the 2023 season, alongside Chidobe Awuzie.[14] Taylor-Britt would record his first regular-season interception and first career pick-six in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals, returning a picked off pass from Joshua Dobbs for a touchdown.[15] He would get his second interception of the season the following week against the Seattle Seahawks, and his third in the Bengals' Week 9 game against the Bills.[16]

Taylor-Britt would miss the Bengals' Week 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to an ankle injury.[17] The following week, he would suffer a quadriceps injury during a practice session and would be placed on injured reserve on December 4, 2023.[18] He was activated on December 29.
