History

The club was founded on December 19, 1979.[1] Cascavel won the Campeonato Paranaense in 1980.[2] The club competed in the Série B in 1981[3] and 1982[4] and was eliminated in the First Stage in both seasons. Cascavel competed in the Série C in 1995[5] and 1996[6] and was eliminated in the First Stage in both seasons. The club merged with SOREC and Cascavel S/A on December 17, 2001 to form Cascavel Clube Recreativo.[2]
