Chenar-e Olya (Шаблон:Lang-fa, also Romanized as Chenār-e ‘Olyā; also known as Chenār and Chenār-e ‘Abbās Khān)[1] is a village in, and the capital of, Chaharduli Rural District[2] of the Central District of Asadabad County, Hamadan province, Iran. The village is populated by Kurds and Turkic peoples.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,183 in 528 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,415 people in 640 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,020 people in 602 households. It was the largest village in its rural district.[6]
