Chremslach

Chremslach (Шаблон:Lang-yi, Шаблон:IPA-yi; singular chremsl or khremzl, Шаблон:Lang-yi, Шаблон:IPA-yi), is a Jewish food eaten on Passover.[1] Chremslach are small thick pancakes or fritters made of potato or matzah meal.[2][3][4] Chremslach can also be more dessert-like, including ingredients like dried fruit and nuts.[4]

Similar dishes, or even the same, have different names. Balkan Jews use the Ladino term bimuelos "fritters", cognate with Spanish buñuelos.[4]
