Commander-captain or commanding captain is a naval rank, used in a number of navies, including all Scandinavian nations. The rank is rated OF-4 within NATO forces.[1]

Denmark

On 11 February 1693, the rank was codified, by King Christian V, with the publication of the updated Danish order of precedence. Here "Шаблон:Lang" was placed below Шаблон:Lang, above Шаблон:Lang and equal to Шаблон:Lang.[2] As of 2022, the rank is placed below Шаблон:Lang and above Шаблон:Lang.[3] It has the grade of M401 within the Ministry of Defence's pay structure.[4] Officially translated the rank is called "Commander, senior grade".[5]

Sweden

Шаблон:Main In the Swedish Navy, the rank of Шаблон:Lang is ranked below Шаблон:Lang and above Шаблон:Lang.[6] Before 1972, the rank was divided into two ranks: Шаблон:Lang and Шаблон:Lang.
