Шаблон:Short description Шаблон:Infobox book The Compendium of Analytical Nomenclature is an IUPAC nomenclature book published by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) containing internationally accepted definitions for terms in analytical chemistry.[1] It has traditionally been published in an orange cover, hence its informal name, the Orange Book.

Color Books

The Orange Book is one of IUPAC's "Color Books" along with the Nomenclature of Organic Chemistry (Blue Book), Nomenclature of Inorganic Chemistry (Red Book), Quantities, Units and Symbols in Physical Chemistry (Green Book), Compendium of Chemical Terminology (Gold Book), Compendium of Polymer Terminology and Nomenclature (Purple Book), Compendium of Terminology and Nomenclature of Properties Clinical Laboratory Sciences (Silver Book), and Biochemical Nomenclature (White Book).

Editions

There have been four editions of Orange book published; the first in 1978 (Шаблон:ISBN),[2] the second in 1987 (Шаблон:ISBN), the third in 1998 (Шаблон:ISBN),[3] and the fourth in 2023 (Шаблон:ISBN).[1]

The third edition is available online.[4]

A Catalan translation has also been published (1987, Шаблон:ISBN).[5]
