History
The Countship of Schackenborg was established on 23 June 1676 by King Christian V of Denmark for Otto Didrik Schack, a member of the noble family of Schack.[1][2] It consisted of the manors of Schackenborg, Sødamgård, Solvig, and Store Tønde.
