Crossland College, Udupi was established on 2 July 1984 by Dr. C.T. Abraham, an educationist with vision has completed three decades of transforming the young men and women from a rural area into potential human resources.[8]

Crossland College is jointly sponsored and managed by the Priority One India Trust and the Priority Educational Foundation, non-profitable Christian minority charitable Trusts working for the total welfare of the people of India. The India Theological Seminary which offers diploma and degree programmes in Bible studies, the Little Rock Indian School, an English medium School with CBSE Syllabus and the Heidi Home, a home for less privileged are also managed by these Trusts.[9][8][10]

The college is affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangaluru and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 24 September 2002 under Act, 1956. It re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B++" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.86 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 5 November 2016.[8]

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts & Commerce stream under Mangalore University, Mangaluru and offers two years intermediate course in Arts stream under Department of Pre-University Education, Bengaluru. It also offers various add-on Diploma courses.[8]
