Etymology

The specific name, darlingtoni, is in honor of American entomologist Philip Jackson Darlington, Jr.,[2] who collected the holotype.[1]

The subspecific name, noblei, is in honor of American herpetologist Gladwyn Kingsley Noble.[3]

Subspecies

Four subspecies are recognized as being valid, including the nominotypical subspecies.[1]

Habitat

The preferred habitat of S. darlingtoni is forest at altitudes of Шаблон:Convert.[4]

Reproduction

S. darlingtoni is oviparous.[1]
