Project Description
The proposed project is a two-way, four-lane urban 29.21-kilometer expressway, which aims to link city’s main areas with a centralized movement of passengers and cargo to the sea port and airport. The phase 1 of this project will comprise 8.479-km elevated viaduct structure, covering Davao Coastal Road to Ma-a Interchange; phase 2 will be 8.510-km elevated viaduct structure from Panacan to Ma-a Interchange; and phase 3 will be 12.821-km at-grade structure, including an expressway tunnel of 0.27-km., from Ma-a Interchange to Dumoy Interchange.[2]
It is one of the flagship infrastructure project under the Build Build Build Program is the Davao City Expressway Project. The said project is divided into three (3) phases, with a T-shaped distribution converging in Maa connecting Davao Coastal Road (East); Panacan (North) and, Toril (South). [2]
The proposed project has 29.2 km in length, 4-lane urban main road, 23.1 meters width (roadbed), 34 viaducts, tunnel of 260m and 9 interchanges (3 T-Hub, 1 partial cloverleaf and 5 diamond interchanges). The project's total cost is estimated to be P69.8 Billion including the road right of way (ROW) cost estimate amounting to P4.12 Billion and will be under an ODA (Official Development Assistance) mode of financing.[2]
Once completed, the Davao City Expressway will greatly enhance the traffic capacity of Davao section of Asian Highway 26 (AH26) and play a better role as the trunk of Asian Highway. And also, boost economic and social development of Davao and drive the rapid economic development of Mindanao.
Davao City Expressway is a 90% skyway and the rest will be on ground level.[2]

The proposed project has an approximate cost of php 80.528 Billion. (Including ROW) [2] [3]
