She is the creative director at Dunamis International Gospel Centre – one of the largest Pentecostal congregations in Nigeria founded by her parents, Paul and Becky Enenche.[1][2] She has shared stage with gospel artists such as Pastor William McDowell. Enenche is noted for her unconventional fashion and ways of life.[3][4] During her wedding in 2022, she held a Bible instead of usual bouquet sparking a heated conversation across social media platforms.[5][6][7]

Background and education

Deborah Enenche was born in 1995, to medical doctors Paul and Becky Enenche. She is the first of four children of her parents. Her father, Paul Enenche is the founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC) – one of the largest Pentecostal churches in Nigeria, and the owner of Glory Dome; the largest single church auditorium in Africa with a 100,000 seat capacity as of 2023.[8] She earned a bachelor's degree in law from Northumbria University in 2017 before returning to Nigeria, where she attended Nigerian Law School (Abuja) in 2018 and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar in 2019. She is a member of Christian Union, MARS Society and Afro-Caribbean Society.[9]

Personal life

In October 2022, it was widely rumoured that she was engaged to a popular gospel artist Frank Edward after Enenche posted on social media, a selfie she took with Edward in a studio. The duo denied the engagement with Frank Edward posting on social media “It is false news, let the girl enjoy her peace”.[6][10] She married Sam Hawthorn Uloko an Abuja-based popular photographer and member of Dunamis Church on 17 December 2022 at the Glory Dome.[11][12] She sparked a conversation on social media for holding a Bible instead of a bouquet during the wedding ceremony. She later clarified that she held the Bible in order to solidify the foundation of her marriage.[5]
