Digitaria brownii, also known as cotton grass or cotton panic grass, is a species of perennial grass in the genus of Digitaria.[1][2]

Description

The maximum height for D. brownii is Шаблон:Cvt with the average height being Шаблон:Cvt. Its flat hairless leaves are Шаблон:Cvt in length and Шаблон:Cvt wide, with rough and wavy margins, and a drawn-out straight point. It has Шаблон:Cvt spikelets, with white, brownish, or purple hairs.[3]

Distribution and habitat

Digitaria brownii is indigenous to all states of Australia except for Tasmania.[1] Additionally, it has been introduced to India.[4] It grows well in sandy and loamy clay soils.[5]
