EarthQuest Adventures was a planned resort located in New Caney, Texas, approximately Шаблон:Convert north of Houston.[1] Contour Entertainment is the resort's master planner and lead designer. The planned Шаблон:Convert resort was to include a theme park as well as a water park, hotel, conference center, retail and office developments.[2] The size of the theme park was reported to be Шаблон:Convert on opening.[3] The first phase was planned to begin in 2008.[4][5]

The creator and founder of the park, dinosaur expert and author "Dino" Don Lessem, described it as a $500 million project with about 50 rides, including being inside a volcano, an ice cave, as well as coasters, and technologies that hadn't been used before.[6] A billboard was set up around 2008 or 2009 on Phase 1, projecting an opening date of 2012 or 2013. On November 17, 2010, EarthQuest was redesigned to cut the cost from $500 million to $300 million and to add construction phases. These changes were being made to secure and satisfy the project's investors.[7] According to the official Contour Entertainment website, the first phase of the project was to premiere in late 2012 or early 2013. In 2011, the company that owned the land filed for bankruptcy, and "no construction had begun" on the park.[8] Contour Entertainment has not repurchased the land for the park that was lost in bankruptcy. It was to be repurchased by December 15, 2013, but it was cancelled and the project has been cancelled as of today, The site is now an under-construction, partially-complete neighborhood called Tavola. Where Phase I was supposed to be is now under-construction Tavola West, a planned phase expansion of Tavola that began construction around 2020. while Phases II and III are now Tavola, which began construction in 2013, with the first homes being built around early 2014.

Tavola (neighborhood)

Tavola is a group of two neighborhoods located where the park was supposed to be constructed. The main, east-facing neighborhood, simply called Tavola, was built where the second and third phases of the cancelled park were supposed to be. The secondary west neighborhood, called Tavola West, [9] [10] began construction in October 2020. which is set to be completed by 2024. Tavola features homes, a school, a pumping station, three lakes, an Exxon gas station (which is the only retail part of Tavola as of today), and commercial, office, and retail sites.[11] There are two entrances to get to Tavola, via the east side of US 59 BUS or Roman Forest Blvd. There will be two entrances to get to Tavola West, via the west side of US 59 BUS or Windwood Forest Drive.
