Шаблон:Short description Шаблон:Use British English Шаблон:Use dmy dates East Wiltshire is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament.[1] Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the next general election.[2]

Boundaries

The constituency will be composed of:

  • The following wards of the Borough of Swindon (as they existed on 1 December 2020): Chiseldon and Lawn (polling district CLB); Ridgeway; Wroughton and Wichelstowe.
  • The following electoral divisions of Wiltshire (as they existed on 4 May 2021): Aldbourne & Ramsbury; Amesbury East & Bulford; Amesbury South; Amesbury West; Avon Valley; Durrington; Ludgershall North & Rural; Marlborough East; Marlborough West; Pewsey; Pewsey Vale East; Pewsey Vale West; Tidworth East & Ludgershall South; Tidworth North & West; Till Valley.[3]

Prospective parliamentary candidates

In May 2023, Danny Kruger, the sitting member of parliament for Devizes, was announced as the Conservative candidate for the new East Wiltshire seat.[5] In October 2022, Pete Force-Jones was announced as the True & Fair Party candidate for Devizes[6] and, upon the boundary change taking effect, for the new East Wiltshire seat.[7] In February 2024, David Kinnaird, a businessman and retired army Major, was announced as the Liberal Democrat candidate.[8]
