Egbert Aglae (born 18 May 1980) is a Seychellois politician and a directly elected member of the 6th and 7th National Assembly of Seychelles representing Port Glaud on the ticket of United Seychelles party.[1]

Background and career

Egbert Aglae studied health at the Ministry of Health Centre in 2001 and later earned a certificate in pharmaceutical dispensing and in cytotoxic reconstitution. Aglae worked at the Ministry of Health as a pharmaceutical technician from 2002 to 2009.[2] He left this position in 2009 and became coordinator of Parti Lepep Secretariat serving until 2011 when he became district administrator of Port Glaud and served for five years.

He was directly elected to the 6th National Assembly from Port Glaud constituency on the ticket of Parti Lepep (United Seychelles) in 2016. He was reelected to the 7th assembly on the ticket of United Seychelles party in 2020. He serves as a member of the International Affairs Committee, Standing Orders Committee, Communicable Diseases, HIV/AIDS Committee,  and a member of  SRHR and the Inter-Parliamentary Union.[3][4][5]
