Eshqabad (Шаблон:Lang-fa), also Romanized as ‘Eshqābād; also known as Esmā‘īlābād,[1] is a village in, and the capital of, Chaybasar-e Sharqi Rural District of the Central District of Poldasht County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran. The previous capital of the rural district was Yowla Galdi.[2]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 278 in 65 households, when it was in the former Poldasht District of Maku County.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 348 people in 77 households,[4] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Poldasht County.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 316 people in 82 households.[6]
