Fish is active in both patent litigation and patent prosecution services among Fortune 100 companies.[1] Fish has been named the #1 patent litigation firm in the U.S. for 12 consecutive years.[2]
Founded in Boston in 1878,[3] Fish & Richardson came to be known for its representation of American inventors of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, and the Wright Brothers.[4] The firm has since grown to 14 offices in the United States, Germany, and China.
In February 2020, the company named John Adkisson as president and CEO.[5]
