Gallium hydroxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Шаблон:Chem2. It is formed as a gel following the addition of ammonia to Шаблон:Chem2 salts.[1] It is also found in nature as the rare mineral söhngeite which is reported to contain octahedrally coordinated gallium atoms.[2] Gallium hydroxide is amphoteric. In strongly acidic conditions, the gallium ion, Шаблон:Chem2 is formed. In strongly basic conditions, Шаблон:Chem2 (tetrahydroxogallate(III)) is formed. Salts of Шаблон:Chem2 are sometimes called gallates.[1]
