Personal life

Cuckson was married and worked as a bricklayer.[2] He enlisted as a private in the Lincolnshire Regiment in Gainsborough after the outbreak of the First World War.[2] Sent to France with the 1st/5th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, part of the 46th (North Midland) Division, he was killed on 13 October 1915 attacking the Hohenzollern Redoubt during the Battle of Loos.[2][3][4] Cuckson is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.[3]
