He is a three-time bronze medalist at the European Wrestling Championships.[1][2] He also represented Bulgaria at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.[3]
Career
In 2016, Vangelov won one of the bronze medals in the [[2016 European Wrestling Championships – Men's freestyle 57 kg|men's freestyle 57Шаблон:Nbspkg]] event at the European Wrestling Championships held in Riga, Latvia.[2]
In 2020, Vangelov won one of the bronze medals in the men's 61Шаблон:Nbspkg event at the Individual Wrestling World Cup held in Belgrade, Serbia.[4][5]
He lost his bronze medal match in the [[Wrestling at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's freestyle 57 kg|men's 57Шаблон:Nbspkg]] event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.[3]
Vangelov won one of the bronze medals in the [[2022 European Wrestling Championships – Men's freestyle 61 kg|men's 61Шаблон:Nbspkg]] event at the 2022 European Wrestling Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.[1][6] He lost his bronze medal match in the [[2022 World Wrestling Championships – Men's freestyle 61 kg|61Шаблон:Nbspkg]] event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia.[7]
He lost his bronze medal match in the [[2024 European Wrestling Championships – Men's freestyle 61 kg|men's 61Шаблон:Nbspkg]] event at the 2024 European Wrestling Championships held in Bucharest, Romania.[8]

Vangelov is married and has a daughter.[9]
