She was ordered on 6 November 1943, and was laid down on 6 November 1944 at AG Weser, Bremen as yard number 1192. She was launched on 20 January 1945, and commissioned under the command of Oberleutnant zur See Peter Callsen on 27 February 1945.[1]
Design
Like all Type XXI U-boats, U-3033 had a displacement of Шаблон:Convert when at the surface and Шаблон:Convert while submerged. She had a total length of Шаблон:Convert (o/a), a beam of Шаблон:Convert, and a draught of Шаблон:Convert.Шаблон:Sfn The submarine was powered by two MAN SE supercharged six-cylinder M6V40/46KBB diesel engines each providing Шаблон:Convert, two Siemens-Schuckert GU365/30 double-acting electric motors each providing Шаблон:Convert, and two Siemens-Schuckert silent running GV232/28 electric motors each providing Шаблон:Convert.Шаблон:Sfn
The submarine had a maximum surface speed of Шаблон:Convert and a submerged speed of Шаблон:Convert. When running on silent motors the boat could operate at a speed of Шаблон:Convert. When submerged, the boat could operate at Шаблон:Convert for Шаблон:Convert; when surfaced, she could travel Шаблон:Convert at Шаблон:Convert.Шаблон:Sfn U-3033 was fitted with six Шаблон:Convert torpedo tubes in the bow and four [[2 cm FlaK 30|Шаблон:Convert C/30]] anti-aircraft guns. She could carry twenty-three torpedoes or seventeen torpedoes and twelve mines. The complement was five officers and fifty-two men.Шаблон:Sfn
Fate
U-3033 was scuttled on 4 May 1945, in Wasserleben Bay, near Flensburg, as part of Operation Regenbogen. The wreck was later raised and broken up.[1]
