Goodenia larapinta is a species of flowering plant in the family Goodeniaceae and is endemic to the Northern Territory. It is an erect perennial herb with elliptic to lance-shaped stem-leaves and racemes of yellow flowers.

Description

Goodenia larapinta is an erect perennial herb that typically grows to a height of Шаблон:Cvt. It has elliptic to lance-shaped leaves arranged along the stem, Шаблон:Cvt long and Шаблон:Cvt wide. The flowers are arranged in racemes up to Шаблон:Cvt long with leaf-like bracts , each flower on a pedicel Шаблон:Cvt long. The sepals are lance-shaped, Шаблон:Cvt long, the corolla yellow, Шаблон:Cvt long. The lower lobes of the corolla are up to Шаблон:Cvt long with wings Шаблон:Cvt wide. Flowering mainly occurs from April to September and the fruit is a cylindrical capsule Шаблон:Cvt long.[1][2]

Taxonomy and naming

Goodenia larapinta was first formally described in 1896 by Ralph Tate in the Report on the work of the Horn Scientific Expedition to Central Australia.[3][4] In 1990, Roger Charles Carolin selected specimens collected by Tate near Glen Edith in June 1894 as the lectotype.[5]

Distribution and habitat

This goodenia grows in rocky places in the Northern Territory, south from the Barkly Tableland.[1][2]

Conservation status

Goodenia larapinta is classified as "least concern" under the Northern Territory Government Territory Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act 1976.[2]
