Guaifenesin/codeine is a fixed-dose combination cold medicine used for the treatment of cough.[1] It contains guaifenesin, an expectorant; and codeine, as the phosphate, an opioid analgesic.[1] It is taken by mouth.[1]

It was approved for medical use in the United States in 2006.[1] In 2021, it was the 297th most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more than 500,000 prescriptions.[2][3]
