Gymnodactylus darwinii is a species of lizard in the family Phyllodactylidae. The species is endemic to Brazil.[1]

Etymology

The specific name, darwinii, is in honor of English naturalist Charles Darwin.[2]

Geographic range

G. darwinii is found in eastern Brazil.[1]

Habitat

The preferred natural habitats of G. darwinii are forest and shrubland.[3]

Description

Adults of G. darwinii have a snout-to-vent length of about Шаблон:Convert.[3]

Diet

G. darwinii preys upon isopods, orthopterans, and other small arthropods.[3]

Reproduction

G. darwinii is oviparous.[1] Communal nesting has been observed.[3]
