Hooshmand Aghili (Шаблон:Lang-fa) is a prominent Iranian singer, best known for his song Farda To Miaei (sometimes spelled Farda to Miayee).[1] Aghili served as one of ten Honorary Judges of the 2005 contest The Search for the Star Musician of Iran, held to identify gifted amateur vocalists and musicians performing Persian traditional music and Iranian folk music.[2] Following the death of Iranian singer Hayedeh, Aghili performed Hayedeh's Sarab as a tribute.[3]

Biography

Шаблон:Empty section He was born in 1937 in Abadeh, Fars province, with the original name of Houshmand Aghili Mehran[1]. Then he migrated to Isfahan with his family. He is a graduate of Adeb High School during the presidency of Hossein Oreizi. At the age of 13, he learned music with his father's family under the supervision of Taj Esfahani, but the peak of his musical career began when he went to the classes of Mahmoud Karimi and Ismail Mehrtash. His brilliance caused him to be invited to the opening ceremony of Iran TV to perform live with composers such as Morteza Hananeh and Hossein Qavami. Smart Aghili's education was in the field of English literature. He worked for several years as an expert of the Ministry of Cooperation before the revolution. Houshmand Aghili immigrated to America the year before the revolution and continued to sing after that.He is now a resident of America.
