I Can See Your Voice is a Dutch television mystery music game show series based on the South Korean programme of the same name. Since the show's premiere on 29 October 2020, it has aired five seasons on RTL 4.

Gameplay

Format

Presented with a group of "mystery singers" identified only by their occupation, a guest artist and contestant(s) must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of several rounds. At the end of the game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.Шаблон:Efn

Rewards

From first to third season, if the singer is good, the contestant(s) wins Шаблон:Euro; if the singer is bad, the same amount is given to the bad singer instead.

Since the fourth season, the contestant(s) must eliminate one mystery singer at the end of each round, receiving Шаблон:Euro if they eliminate a bad singer. At the end of the game, the contestant(s) may either end the game and keep the money they had won in previous rounds, or risk it for a chance to win Шаблон:Euro by correctly guessing whether the last remaining mystery singer is good or bad.

Background

Production and development

After the formal announcement for developing a German counterpart of I Can See Your Voice by RTL Deutschland (a subsidiary of the RTL Group), RTL Nederland did the same manner in March 2020, as it follows the successful broadcasts of The Masked Singer. It is produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production; the staff team is managed by executive producer Loes Griekspoor, producer Michiel van der Hoeven, and director Gerben van den Hoven.

Filming

Tapings for the programme took place at various locations such as Шаблон:Ill in Amsterdam (for the first and fifth season) and Шаблон:Ill in Aalsmeer (from second to fourth season).

Since from first to second season, the programme was filmed under health and safety protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Broadcast history

I Can See Your Voice has an initial debut date on 8 May 2020 and was then happened on 29 October 2020. After the first season finale, the series has been already renewed for a second season that premiered on 22 April 2021. The third season started airing on 21 January 2022 instead of an initial premiere on 17 February 2022.Шаблон:Efn The fourth season premiered on 31 August 2022, followed by the fifth season on its same date in 2023, which was then rescheduled to 19 October 2023.

Special episodes

Шаблон:Ill played in the kids special, as aired on the second season on 10 June 2021. Including as part of the fourth season, Шаблон:Ill played in the holiday special on 22 December 2022.

Cast

The series has a panel of celebrities who assist the guest artist(s) to decipher mystery singers' identities throughout the game. Alongside with mainstays, guest panelists also appear since the first season. Overall, 7 different members have been assigned, with the original lineup being Шаблон:Ill, Ronnie Flex, Jeroen van Koningsbrugge, Fred van Leer, and Шаблон:Ill.

Beside them, subsequent members joining on that lineup also include Danny de Munk and Edsilia Rombley (from second season).
