It is on the Arun Valley Line, Шаблон:Convert down the line from Шаблон:Stn, measured via Redhill.[1] Train services are provided by Thameslink and Southern.

History

The station was opened on 1 June 1907 as Lyons Crossing Halt, although it became known as Ifield Halt later that year. It was one of a series of unstaffed intermediate halts set up by the London Brighton and South Coast Railway, to be worked by rail motor trains. It became known simply as Ifield station from 1930.[2]

Services

Off-peak, all services at Ifield are operated by Thameslink using Шаблон:Brc EMUs.

The station is also served by a limited number of Southern services to Шаблон:Stn, Шаблон:Stnlnk, Шаблон:Stnlnk and Шаблон:Stnlnk.

On Sundays, the service is reduced to hourly in each direction and northbound services run to and from Шаблон:Stnlnk instead of Peterborough.
