Шаблон:Short description Isidor Lewi (May 9, 1850[1][2] – 1938[3] or 1939[4]) was a journalist who served on the editorial board of the New York Tribune.[4] He once interviewed Charles Dickens.[5]

Lewi was educated in the Albany Academy.[1] His wife was Emita May (d. on January 23, 1931), they were noted in their community for charitable work.[6]

Lewi shook hands with Abraham Lincoln.[5]

Lewi also edited and published The New Era Illustrated Magazine.[1][7][8][9][2]

He is remembered as a witness to history. [10]
