Шаблон:Учёный Дже́ффри Джон Крайпл (Шаблон:Lang-en; Шаблон:ВД-Преамбула, США) — американский религиовед и историк религии, специалист по Шаблон:Нп3. Автор монографии «Шаблон:Нп3» (1995; второе исправленное и дополненное издание вышло в 1998 году), за которую в том же году получил «Премию по истории религии за лучшую первую книгу» Американской академии религии. Один из авторов Шаблон:Нп3 и The Encyclopedia of Hinduism.

Биография

В 1985 году получил бакалавра гуманитарных наук по религиоведению в Шаблон:Нп3.

В 1987 году получил магистра гуманитарных наук по религиоведению в Чикагском университете и в 1993 году там же доктора философии по истории религии.

С 2004 года — профессор и заведующий имени Ньютона Райзора кафедрой философии и религиозной мысли Университета Райса.

Ранее преподавал в Шаблон:Нп3, Гарвардской школе богословия Гарвардского университета, Институте Эсален и Колорадском университете.

Член редакционной коллегии Journal of the American Academy of Religion.
