Coocaa (Шаблон:Zh; stylised as COOCAA[1]), also known as Kukai,[2] is a China-based[3] smart TV brand[4] that was founded in 2006.[5] It was sequentially invested by iQIYI,[6] Tencent,[7] Baidu,[8] and focuses on AIoTV.[9] Owned by Shenzhen Skyworth-RGB Electronic Co., Ltd.,[10] its TV products feature Dolby Vision and full screen.[11]

With headquarters in Shenzhen,[12] Coocaa has ventured into Philippines[13] and Malaysia.[14] It was an official partner of the 2019 SEA Games.[15] In November 2019, Coocaa attended the World TV Day event.[16] The brand also has its own operating system called "Coocaa OS".[17]

History

Coocaa TV shipments exceeded 1 million units in 2015.[18] In June 2017,[19] Tencent invested HK$344.28 million[20] to acquire a 7.7% stake in Coocaa.[21] In March 2018, Baidu invested $159.70 million[22] to obtain an 11% stake in Coocaa.[23]

As of April 2020, the total number of users of the Coocaa System amounted to approximately 50 million users,[24] this figure reached 80 million up to October.[25]
