Чарльз Кардэйл Бабингтон (Шаблон:Lang-en[1][2][3][4][5], 23 ноября 1808 — 22 июля 1895) — британский[1] Шаблон:Ботаник[3][4], профессор ботаники[2], Шаблон:Миколог[1] и Шаблон:Археолог[3][4].

Биография

Чарльз Кардэйл Бабингтон родился 23 ноября 1808 года[2][4].

С 1861 по 1895 год он был профессором ботаники[2]. Бабингтон занимался интенсивными исследованиями в области естествознания[2].

Чарльз Кардэйл Бабингтон посетил почти все части Британских островов, а в 1846 году он посетил Исландию[2].

Чарльз Кардэйл был одним из основателей Энтомологического общества (1833)[2]. Бабингтон был членом Геологического общества Лондона, членом Кембрийской археологической ассоциации, членом Лондонского Линнеевского общества, членом Лондонского королевского общества и активным членом Британской ассоциации[2].

Чарльз Кардэйл Бабингтон умер в Кембридже 22 июля 1895 года[2][4].
